The first category is filled with no-compromise products that stick their asses in the air and point the middle finger to every major sporting organization which has a stupid ban on certain compounds. 1,3 – Dimethylamylamine (1,3-D) being one of those compounds, which also got banned in Canada recently. FML.

Then there are companies that follow every rule in the book in an attempt to create products that are certified and apparently, “just as effective, if not more”. Body Rush happens to fall into this latter category and Force Factor actually uses the absence of 1,3-D as a selling point – mighty smart of them. Along with the absence of creatine – mighty stupid of them. Either way, I’m here to test this beast to see if it’s worth 3/4 of a solid, crisp bill!

Official Description

Introducing one of the most explosive, best-tasting pre-workout drink available: BODY RUSH.* New from the sports nutrition experts at Force Factor, BODY RUSH shows that pre-workout drinks can taste as awesome as the results they produce.* Ready to look strong, powerful, and stacked with muscle?* Ready to feel on top of your game andloaded with stamina?* Then you’re ready to try BODY RUSH!*

Top Ingredients Deliver Top Results

…and BODY RUSH contains only the best. It’s safe, effective, trusted, and powerful enough to give dramatic results.*

First Impressions

I’m not sure if it was a wise marketing choice to make their container look like the retarded cousin of the whole BSN product line. People will either see it as a knock-off and won’t buy it, or confuse it for a BSN product and buy it. Either way, I would stay away from the whole translucent red container path since it’s already been done. It’s like those silly tech companies that tried to release everything in white after Apple came out with the iPod and white ear buds.

Next up we have the ingredient profile. For $64.99 I was expecting a gold-plated scoop and crushed diamonds sprinkled in crystal meth. But alas, when I opened the container I found nothing of the sort. The ingredients are not only lacking for an expensive product, they are just plain lacking, period. Let’s dive in…

Focus Enhancer Blend: 1700mg

I have no complaints when it comes to this blend. All good stuff such as Tyrosine, Carnitine and different sources of Caffeine. The only thing I would’ve liked to see is the exact amount of caffeine included (from my guesstimate, it’s probably 150mg or lower). And some NADH would have been nice too.

Energy Rush: 4250mg

Again we have some more types of Carnitine along with Beta-Alanine (awesome). The only problem I see here is the dose. I’ve said it a billion times already, but it bares repeating: If you’re going to take a supplement with Beta-A, a minimum of 5g is required (unless you’re taking CellRush, in which case 2.5g will be more than enough). So with 4250mg, I’m hoping at least half of that goes to Beta-A to make it worth my time and your money.

Strength Blend: 4000mg

All we’ve got is some BCAA’s: L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-Ispleucine. Excuse me, but where the fuck is creatine!? You know, only the most researched, most economical and best performing strength enhancer ever to have surfaced in the sports supplement industry? Yeah I’ll tell you where it is. Not in here. What a shame.

Advanced 3x Nitric Oxide Booster: 3000mg

A whole bunch of different Arginine blends that won’t do jack shit for your pumps. There’s no such thing as a N.O boost from Arginine and studies prove it. More on the Arginine nonsense HERE – it’s a shame that supplements which are supposed to be “backed by science” are actually ignoring scientific data that’s right in front of them.

Rapid Hydration Surge: 1172mg

Basically a bunch of electrolytes and vitamins. If your workout tends to go for more than an hour and a half, then the inclusion of this blend could come in handy. Sort of like how the inclusion of a comb in a Swiss Army knife would come in handy while you’re lost in the woods. Truth be told, this space could’ve been better utilized for more effective ingredients.

Muscle Glucose Primer: 4000mg

Basically 4 grams of insulin spiking sugar. Carb haters beware. Carbophopic ass bags should run for cover. The rest of you sane individuals need not be worried.

Real World Results

Let’s start with taste. Force Factor was kind enough to send over the Strawberry Kiwi flavor. If you follow the instructions, the taste turns out OK but if you eyeball it and add an adequate amount of water, you’ll come across a fantastic sweet spot where this supplement is downright delicious. It nears the territory of the best tasting (and the worst performing) supplement I’ve ever tried: Super Dump Pump 250. I give it a solid 4.5/5 assuming you manage to find this sweet spot.

So how did my workouts go? Well besides getting the Beta-Alanine tingles it was nothing special. No above-average focus, no above-average intensity and definitely no pumps (but you already expected that). And to make sure these effects weren’t just my body being odd, I gave it to 3 of my friends who workout regularly hit up the weights harder than the seat on your pink bicycle. All reported back with the same conclusion: “meh”.

Body Rush is like a more delicious RedBull that you have to make yourself and has some Beta-A in it. And they both cost about the same per serving, so you’re basically paying for maybe a 10% increase in performance and some inconvenience. And that’s not even comparing it to really effective supplements that will blow it out of the water for much less (1.M.R & Razor 8 Blast Powder).

Conclusion

If Body Rush had a hefty amount of creatine, a bigger dose of Beta-A and maybe a few other ingredients instead of the Hydration Surge formula and the stupid N.O formula I think you could justify it’s price, given that it can be safely used in pro sports without a drug test banning your ass. And I know first hand, that athletes will pay for safety.

But for the rest of us who are warriors in the gym and could give less of a shit whether an ingredient is on the ban list or not, Body Rush fails to meet expectations. As such, I’m giving it a par at 2.5/5 stars.

LIKED THIS REVIEW? Even Kre-Alkalyn is basically monohydrate with a “buffer”, which is a fancy ass word for baking soda. So when I heard about Creatine Magnesium Chelate my BS alarms went off while curiosity came from behind and grabbed me by the ass. I had to give it a go. Before jumping in, let’s hear the official description from AllMax Nutrition…

Product Description

“Can you commit to 30 Days of Strength, Power and Size training? Do you have what it takes to become more than you are today? CreMAGnaVol 3MPD™ has the power to deliver mind-blowing results.

Never in the history of supplementation has 3MPD™ pharmaceutical delivery technology been combined with a Creatine-Magnesium Chelate (Creatine MagnaPower®); extreme bio-availability with fully-patented absorption matrix. 3MPD™ has the power to change everything you thought you knew about supplementation technology.

CreMAGnaVol™ is a complete 30-Day program of extreme tri-layer creatine-chelate CapTABS comprised of a potent formula PROTECTED BY MULTIPLE PATENTS designed to deliver astounding power, strength and size gains fast!* As a Creatine-Chelate myotrophic muscle expander, CreMAGnaVol provides 5 grams of the highest-grade multi-patented Creatine-Chelate available on the market.*

Creatine MagnaPower® delivers more free Creatine to the body than creatine monohydrate!*

Creatine MagnaPower® provides more bio-available active Creatine to the bloodstream for maximum uptake and maximum uptake by muscle; the result, more muscular utilization, more size and more strength.* Coupled with 3MPD Technology, CreMAGnaVol pushes you past your limits with research-directed dosages that will leave lesser, older supplements eating its dust.”

The Theory

The main goal of these new creatine formulations is this: to be able to deliver the same results as monohydrate while using less product. Misinformed supplement whores need to understand that creatine is creatine, no one form is going to vastly out-perform the other unless it’s combined or stacked with another substance. So basically, the supplement companies are racing to find the most “effective” creatine formulation possible.

So how does CreMagnaVol work? Well to keep things simple, it’s is basically creatine that has been attached to a bit of magnesium. So while traditional creatine mohohydrate enters your cells using a sodium-dependant transporter, CreMagnaVol finds a secondary pathway. A side-door entrance, if you will. In theory, it sounds nice but in reality there has been no conclusive scientific evidence that creatine magnesium chelate is superior to creatine monohydrate.

You might hear of a study being mentioned by any one of the few companies marketing magnesium chelate about how it’s superior. But those studies compared creatine magnesium chelate to magnesium oxide creatine (which sucks). So obviously, the chelate formulation outperformed it now they brag like they’ve found the next best thing. But that’s hardly a fair comparison; it would be like setting up a fight between Mike Tyson and Justin Beiber. You don’t need to conduct “experiments” or do any form of “science” to come to an accurate conclusion.

First Impressions

You basically get about 2.5g of creatine magnesium chelate along with 800mg of Beta Alanine. If you’ve read my previous reviews than you know that Beta A is only legit in higher doses and needs to be loaded. This 800mg is a measly amount and won’t make much difference. The other junk included is just nonsense. To be honest, I would have preferred it if the entire 3.7g of space was used just for the creatine.

The tablet itself is also quite disappointing, even if those 3 layers look cool. The reason being that it’s not coated. So the instant you put it on your tongue and swallow, you get a dry feeling in your mouth and a bitter chalky after taste. I think if you ever get punched in the face with a fist made of saw dust, the experience would be similar. And that’s only one pill… you need to take 3 more in order to get the one full recommened serving. God damn it!

Real World Results

I’ve been using creatine for a long time, so I have a pretty accurate guess when it comes to knowing whether a product is working or not. I know how my body responds to it in the gym and when I look at my old logs, there are clear indications when pre/post workout creatine supplementation is present. Since my creatine of choice has always been some form of monohydrate (Creapure or Kre-Alkalyn) I had something to compare this to.

The first day I tried CreMagnaVol, I barely noticed a difference. The dose is just way too low to have any influence on my already bullish strength, so the next workout I took double dosage (8 dusty tabs). This resulted in the insides of my mouth feeling like the Sahara dessert. It was at this point that I noticed a difference in the gym. What I couldn’t tell was whether the effectiveness of CreMagnaVol was any better than regular monohydrate. Bummer.

Conclusion

So it’s not any better and nor is it any worse. But in my opinion that’s only if you take double the recommended dose. This reduces the overall servings per bottle to 30 and increases the price per serving to $2. Compare this to the highest quality monohydrate which costs only $0.2 per serving or even Kre-Alkalyn which costs $0.6 per serving and you have a serious problem. There are uses for creatine formulations that enter the cells through different pathways but those situations are rare.

Lean individuals seem to be the best responders to monohydrate so if you’re a little on the chubby side, or if monohydrate for some reason doesn’t do anything for you but cause bloating, then I’d pony up the cash for CreMagnaVol. But as it stands, monohydrate is still king. It’s cheaper and works just as well if not better.

Because of this, I’ll give CreMagnaVol a 2.8/5 stars.

———–
© 2011, By FitJerk. FitJerk.com is a division of Flawless Fitness Media – All Rights Reserved – No part of this post is to be republished without author consent under any forms of media (including print, internet, video or audio transcription). By now, you know the deal with these products – they are stuffed full of stimulants to give you a kick in the ass to get you through the workout. Obviously, every product tries to differentiate itself by claiming it will give you the most pumps, dumps, clumps and all that other nonsense. You should also know that those are empty promises – minus the dumps, there were a few that had me sprinting to the washroom over and over again. Regular gym goers thought I was doing interval cardio, but little did they know I was undergoing involuntary caloric deficit.

So, what exactly is Razor 8 Blast Powder? Can it substitute gun powder? Will it explode in your face? Maybe, and maybe not. Below is the official description from Allmax Nutrition…

Official Description

BLAST POWDER is a no-nonsense, highly concentrated pre-workout energy stimulant with no fillers and zero sugar. We’ve delivered what you need to rip through your training and left the rest out. An ideal combination of five key stimulants that will ramp up fat burning hormones and make weights feel lighter than they ought to.

The buzz about the buzz: We all know that 1,3-Di-Methyl-Amylamine (commonly known as Geranamine) has a seriously potent stimulant effect. What you don’t know (due to (PB) Proprietary Blends) is that with most formulas, you’re getting a “pixy-dust” amount, or at best 5 to 10 mg.

We knew that competition-level athletes would know the difference. And as you all know, we believe in transparent-protocol labeling, so you can see the detail for yourself. There is 19 mg per scoop. Yes, you will feel this!

First Impressions Of The Ingredients

I need to clear something up: the tub I got in the mail a while back and the tub you buy now have slightly different formulations (I, of course getting the better version.) You’ll notice the difference between the ingredient profiles as you compare the tub you buy to the one I used in this review. But to put it simply, Allmax backed off the gas pedal slightly from their original formula for what I theorize to be legal reasons.

Still, I’ve got to review the supplement at hand and while the new formulation is weaker by what I can guess to be 5-10%, it shouldn’t make much of a difference to most of you. On with the ingredient list.

Caffeine: I’m not going to beat around the bush here, this thing has a LOT of caffeine. How much? Well you might want to sit down because there is no easy way to say this… I honestly didn’t think numbers went this high in supplements, but it turns out they do. Are you ready?

400mg! Yup, one 13.5g scoop has enough caffeine to equal 4 cups of coffee. 354mg comes from Synthetic Caffeine and 46mgs come from di-caffeine malate. So basically, it’ll gave you a punch in the face along with a spank on the ass. Most people talking about this stuff online have (intelligently) started using half scoops because of this absurd amount and have managed to turn 40 servings into 80. Can’t blame them.

Geranamine (Geranium Stem Oil Extract): This is the same ingredient which gave the original MuscleSpeed a nice kick so its certainly welcomed in this formulation. You get 51mg which along with the high caffeine amount should prove to be useful.

Hordenine: This is an alkaloid which is supposed to stimulate the release of norepinephrine. You know, the stuff that triggers your “fight or flight” response. This involves increasing heart rate, increased rate of oxygen to the brain, increase blood flow to skeletal muscles and the release of glucose from energy stores (hopefully fat). You get 32mg of this stuff, and whether it’s sufficient enough to trigger such a response is uncertain. It’s hard to tell whether other ingredients are working or not when you have 400mg of ass busting caffeine raging through your veins. I’ll give Allmax the benefit of the doubt.

Creatine Monohydrate: You get 5g of this superior form of creatine. Nice. Unlike most idiotic companies that use CEE, Allmax should be commended for using a form of creatine which has consistently shown to be superior in studies.

Beta-Alanine: I have let beta-alanine into my umbrella of “raw supplements I like and would recommend.” And judging by all the crap I’ve reviewed in the past, this is quite the accomplishment. The only problem is that you only get 325mg of it. Beta-A needs two conditions to be effective. First, it needs to be “loaded” and two, the loading phase needs an amount of 5-7g per day. Those that love beta-a know the tingle it gives you when you take it. None such tingle will be found here, the dosage is much too low.

Arginine AKG: Why, why in 2011 do companies still use this garbage ingredient is beyond me. Studies have busted it to be completely useless as a vasodilator – especially in doses found in current supplements. A disappointing waste of space at 3.7g.

Yerba Mate Green Tea Extract: 20mg won’t do anything but the caffeine from Yerba Mate tea has been shown to be effective without the negative side effects such as jitters and crashes.

Phenylethylamine Hydrochloride: At 12mg it is useless since most orally ingested phenylethylamine is metabolized before it even reaches the brain for the supposed “well being” effect it’s supposed to deliver.

Real World Results

What do you want me to say? This shit kicks ass, and how could it not? Which that much caffeine I was pretty much expecting SOMETHING spectacular to happen and the 5g of creatine along with geranium extract is just the icing on the cake. I’m curious as to how effective it would be if the caffeine were removed… my guess is that it wouldn’t be half as effective. Still, it’s in there and that’s the reality.

But the other reality is that the after-taste is nasty bitter. It’s not so bad going down but once you finish chugging it, you might want to consider a chaser because this shit is gross. Then there’s the crash, oh boy you better be next to a comfy ass bed or couch because you will plop down like a fat man’s morning dump. Just knowing that, I wouldn’t recommend you take this unless absolutely necessary. Use it when going to the gym feels like a chore. Use it when you really need a pick-me-up. But if you’re just feeling “meh” than down a cup of coffee and get on with it.

Unlike other supplements such as Anadraulic State which disrupted my workouts, Razor 8 Blast Powder kept me going, and then some. I had enough juice after a heavy squat session to hit up the heavy bag for some boxing training. All cylinders were firing at full speed and there were no compromises to my lightning fast jabs and devastating hooks. Overall, I was happy with the performance.

I’ll give this stuff a 3.9/5 stars. Well then you probably suffer form a disorder called “shitty memory” and Mastermind Supplements has just the product for you!

It’s called Mind Boost and as always, before I dive in and give you the low down, let’s hear what the company has to say…

Official Product Details

Cognitive enhancing formula designed to give that extra boost of energy, confidence, focus and learning ability. Mind Boost provides the perfect balance for cognitive functioning. Piracetam is known to increase brain cell metabolism, augment mental strength, intensify vitality, and improve memory retention. It also may protect neurons from hypoxia (low oxygen) and stimulates the function of the brain’s vital neurotransmitter acetylcholine (essential for healthy mental function, especially verbal processing). Choline is a precursor for acetylcholine proven invaluable for its ability to make more acetylcholine. To complete the blend we included a small amount of caffeine for added mental alertness.

First Impressions

The marketing department at Mastermind certainly did their job. From the fancy graphics, the website and even the name itself… their shit is on-point. As someone who reviews a shit load of supplements and someone who’s curious as to where the supplement industry is headed in general, it makes me want to pick up a bottle and try it out.

But, is the beauty only skin-deep? Let’s take a look at the ingredients…

Mind Boost is one of those rare supplements where I don’t have to spend 10 minutes reading the ingredient list. It’s got 3 ingredients mixed into amounts that Mastermind Supplements deems reasonable. Let’s start from bottom up.

Caffeine Anhydrous – proven to increase power output, mental alertness and the overall key ingredient to 99% of all pre workout and mental enhancing formulas. The only thing I didn’t like is the measly 100mg amount per serving. That’s about as much as you get from a cup of coffee… and most people on planet earth drink at least 2 cups a day so I doubt this is helping much.

Choline Bitartrate – A water-soluble essential nutrient. Essential because it cannot be synthesized by the body, so you need to stuff some down your throat to get some. It’s found in foods such as eggs and beef. Now here’s the important bit, Choline is the precursor molecule for the neurotransmitter acetylcholine which is involved in many functions including memory and muscle control. It’s probably based on this fact, that it’s included in Mind Boost.

Also, it seems choline is used as a treatment in neurological disorders and Alzheimer’s disease but I’ve found nothing concrete or the dosages used in treatments. Here’s another interesting tidbit: In a study, trained cyclists supplemented with 2.43 g of choline bitartrate 1 hour before or short suprmaximal (150% peak power) or prolonged submaximal (70% of full power) test stress, choline supplementation increased plasma choline levels of 37 to 52%, but no significant changes were observed for measures of fatigue and exercise performance in both studies (Spector et al., 1995). Since Mind Boost as a total of 1.7g of “stuff” in it, I can’t see how a minimal amount of this stuff would help. But, that’s just theory for now.

Piracetam – An nootropic drug usually prescribed by doctors for a condition called myoclonus (muscle twitches). Most of the stuff on it is irrelevant to us except for one double-blind, placebo-controlled study: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/826948 Below is the the abstract.

“Nootropyl (Piracetam) a drug reported to facilitate learning in animals was tested for its effect on man by administering it to normal volunteers. The subjects were given 3×4 capsules at 400 mg per day, in a double blind study. Each subject learned series of words presented as stimuli upon a memory drum. No effects were observed after 7 days but after 14 days verbal learning had significantly increased.”

This means that the test subjects took 1.2g per day and only after 14 days showed signs of progress. Again, remember that Mind Boost has 1.7g of total stuff per serving of which 100mg is taken up by caffeine, leaving us with 1.6g of space. Assuming Mastermind used 1.2g of Piracetam (unlikely) that leaves us with 0.4g of space for Choline Bitartrate… which renders it useless. My guess is that they spread out the space evenly but even still, there is just not enough “supplement” for an immediate effect in one serving.

Real World Results

The capsules are regular sized and rather easy to take. Given what I saw in the ingredient list, I was highly temped to pop 4 at once but to judge the review fairly, I took the recommended serving, 3 times per day for about 3 weeks straight. For the first week I was like “What the hell is this?” since I didn’t feel much of a difference besides slight increase in alertness… as one would expect when you take in an extra 300mg caffeine per day. Nothing like the initial “hit” from the original MuscleSpeed though.

It was around the second week that I noticed that I had more “vivid” dreams at night. Nothing too over the top but noticeable. Around the third week my mental state was noticeably better/alert than the first week but again, I wouldn’t say it was over the top. It was a result I could have achieved with just about any other caffeine infused per-workout formula. Now, Mind Boost isn’t marketed as a per-workout formula, but it’s still an nootropic.

Overall, this stuff will work if you give it time since it probably has some kind of “loading” phase. But is it worth $39.95 a month for bottle after bottle? Yeah, not sure about that one.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, I personally can’t recommend Mind Boost and give it 2 and a half stars. There are some changes that I’d like to see in order for this supplement to justify it’s price. Supplements are about instant gratification, or as close to it as you can get. So a 2 week loading phase is fine for creatine, since bodybuilders are dedicated and muscle mass takes time. People know that. But for an nootropic to take this long? That’s just lame sauce!

So here are my changes: First up, add some Bioperine to help with absorption. Then throw in some NADH, Geranium Extract, L-Carnitine and L-Tyrosine. I would also increase the size of the caps from the current #00 setup and up the dosage of the caffeine to 200mg per serving and Piracetam to 1.2g based on the study. Not only should you get an instant mental kick, but overtime things should improve. Will my formula work? Hard to say since I just threw it together off the top of my head based on other products I’ve tested. But I know for a fact that it’ll work a helluva lot faster than their current formula.

[UPDATE: Mastermind Supplements got back to me and the supplement does indeed contain 1.2g of Piracetam. So if you want to experience the effects of the study, you can now give it a shot knowing exactly how much you're taking in]

I would like to give props to MasterMind Supplements for sending me a free T-Shirt and bottle to try. As you know, most companies don’t have the balls to be reviewed on my site. Look out for another one of their products I’ll be testing soon called Mind Release.

———–
© 2011, By FitJerk. FitJerk.com is a division of Flawless Fitness Media – All Rights Reserved – No part of this post is to be republished without author consent under any forms of media (including print, internet, video or audio transcription). I most definitely don’t, as revealed by my earlier post which talked about my bad side. However, I do make sure that any holes that are in my nutrition are filled up with the help of a multivitamin. The hard part is that there are so many multivitamins, it can be a daunting task when it comes to choosing the right one. The first thing you need to do is to find a formula that suits YOU. Some products might be an overkill for most people while others might not be sufficient enough. Hardcore athletes obviously place strong demands on their bodies… which is why today we will be looking at a multivitamin stack made just for them. Before we dive in, let’s hear the official word from Allmax Nutrition.

Product Description

VITASTACK, The Ultimate Performance Partner”: Clearly labeled VITASTACK STACK PACKS are unbelievably convenient; you can pocket them and take it anywhere making VITASTACK the ultimate performance partner. Over 100 highly active ingredients, many of which are so advanced and so rare, you will only find them in VITASTACK; Ultra-high absorption complex nutrients that give you the ability to reach your true potential.

Bodybuilders and athletes hit the gym hard. Over time, excessive demand and often unintentionally limited diets can create nutrient deficiencies that side-line even the best bodybuilder, athlete or competitor. There are 9 pills in a convenient little packet and you’re job is to take them all. This might be a little far-fetched for those that are used to taking 1 or 2 pills in the morning as their multivitamin but you get used to it pretty quickly. So why 9 pills? Well instead of creating one ginormous tablet with trace amounts of each ingredient, they basically have “specialized” pills that do their own job. Let’s dive into each of these pills and see what they’re all about.

Starting from the top left, we have the two small yellowish pills which were given the marketing name “ANABOLINEX”. Here’s the official description: “ANABOLINEX provides the raw, core nutrients essential to supporting rapid muscle protein synthesis.* There is a reason there are more ingredients in ANABOLINEX than any other blend in VITASTACK – supporting muscle growth; over 1,000 mg of extreme powerhouse active nutrients that fuel the kind of recovery and growth your regimen demands.* We’ve included Dibencozide, Methylcobalamin and Cobamamide–biologically active forms of B12. Most regular cheaper supplements provide “Cynanocobalamin” which is B12 stabilized with the more toxic cyanide group. B12 is directly involved in building lean muscle tissue and absolutely necessary for carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism and DNA synthesis. Powerhouse 5-MTHF BioB9™ biologically active Folate is included at 200% the RDI. Normally known in regular supplements as Folic Acid, BioB9™ does not require an additional step within the system for absorption and assimilation. ANABOLINEX has two forms of essential Vitamin B6 with a bioavailable and rare P5-P (Pyridoxal 5-Phosphate) form yielding 125% of your RDI. Complete with a 45:30:25 ratio essential BCAA blend, Beta-Alanine and more VITASTACK has the anabolic bases covered.”

Next is the giant yellow pill, which is known as “ELECTROFUSE” and here’s the official description: “While many “regular” vitamin supplements often ignore critical Organo-Electrolytic Mineral Complexes VITASTACK embraces them. So crucial to the absorption of every other ingredient, electrolytic mineral compounds can assist in the delivery of other nutrients.* In addition with intense training comes intense loss of key hydrating electrolytes. As they are lost, cellular hydration levels drop and performance suffers and can result in tissue cramping and fatigue. VITASTACK supplies a broad spectrum of crucial Organo-Electrolytic Mineral Complexes.*”

Moving to the right we have the skinny gray-ish pill known as “METABOCORE” and here’s the official description: “METABOCORE is a complex blend of Enzymes essential for the rapid assimilation of nutrients in addition, we’ve added Serrazyme® Serrapeptase, a radical proteolytic enzyme that supports the breaking down of inactive protein that builds up in the body and may restrict function.* A broad range of other nutrient enzymes have been included to maximize you usage of every macronutrient you consume.* Digestive enzymes catalyze reactions that promote maximum assimilation of valuable nutrients.* METABOCORE also includes Chromium, a nutrient suggested to support metabolic function.* To round out this formula, we’ve added double patented Bioperine®; a key nutrient that assists the body in assimilating other nutrients.* It may work synergistically with the body to help the absorption of other nutrients.* This is a radically new concept in nutrient supplementation, one that will maximize overall function.*”

Then on the top right corner is the dark red pill known as “ENERGOFORCE” and this is what Allmax has to say about it: “ENERGOFORCE is designed to support the most important of all organs, the brain.* Designed to memory and focus, ENERGOFORCE promotes the kind of alertness and focus required for ongoing intense training.* Key nutrients work to sharpen the mind and keep you in the game.* A dull or worn down mental function can quickly lead to a lack of enthusiasm to keep up with your training. Staying focused and mentally prepared will keep you on track and gaining in the gym.”

Now we move on top the bottom row and are going to start with the two orange pills known as “IMMUNOCHARGE” and here’s what they are all about: “IMMUNOCHARGE delivers an extremely broad spectrum of key nutrients that range from antioxidants to adaptogens with two main goals; to promote immune system functioning and staving off free-radical damage.* This is critical to staying on target with your training. With 530% RDI of two forms of buffered and regular Vitamin C and a complete, broad-spectrum range of all 8 Vitamin E Isomers providing 720% RDI. To compliment this powerful dose of Vitamin C, we’ve added yet another form of unique Vitamin C in SKELETOCORE, Sodium Acsorbate, another buffered form, bringing the total Vitamin C up to 680% RDI. Athletes and Bodybuilders with the best of intentions do their best to keep up with the demands they place on their body, but push beyond your genetics requires increased food, rest and nutrients. Jacking VITASTACK daily delivers a broad foundation of key nutrients to help support antioxidant and immune system function at maximum capacity.*”

After that we have the big white pill known as “SKELETOCORE” and as you can probably guess, it’s a a joint supplement with glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin and a bunch of other goodies. And last but not least is the clear gel cap called “CARDIOPULSE” which is basically your fish/flax and omega oil formula.

So is this 9 pill stack any special? Well yes and no. Quantity wise, I noticed that Universal’s offering has this product beat. They have about the same amount of vitamins and minerals but Universal just gives you MORE of it. However, it’s important to note that you will end up paying a bit more per serving if you get the Animal Pak so you’re really getting what you pay for. No more and no less, it’s perfectly fair. But what about making your own? It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that some of the pills and tabs are your regular run of the mill ones you can find from your supplement store. As an example, I have my bottle of Glucosomine + Chondroitin sitting beside me and each pill has 500mg and 400mg of each ingredient respectively. Vitastack’s “SKELETOCORE” has about 158mg of Glucosomine and 42mg of Chondrioitin… but it also has Phosphorous, Magnesium, Vitamin C, D3, K and a bunch of other stuff which you would probably get from a Centrum or whatever it is you take.

What I’m getting at here is that while you CAN make your own little “stack” by buying a whole bunch of vitamins and separating them in little zip lock bags, the Vitastack is a much easier option. You’re paying about a dollar per serving and you’ll be doing exactly what you’re supposed to… filling in any gaps and holes left by your meal plan. People think that the quantity of ingredients in a multi is everything… but that’s not the case. I believe the selection of ingredients is key. It’s not the multi’s job to REPLACE shit you should be taking in through whole foods. It’s a multi’s job to “supplement” any deficiencies. Big difference.

Real World Results

Vitastack comes in a mini-tub which contains 30 of these ‘packs’. I found them super convenient and took them with me everywhere. It’s been 30 days since I’ve started taking it and did it help? I believe so yeah. I do feel slightly more “uplifted” but the difference is minor. Listen, this product is not a fucking miracle so if you’re eating habit sucks, you probably won’t get anything out of it. Taking vitamins without eating right is a losing strategy. However, if you bust your ass and have a solid plan, you can’t go wrong with this option. For about a buck a day you can rest easy knowing that you’re getting everything you need to recover and stay awesome.

I’ve personally started using Vitastack as my multi on days I train and stick to my regular men’s 2 pill formula one days that I don’t. I’m no bodybuilder, which means I don’t hit the gym daily and have high volume, high duration workouts to deal with so when my body’s demands are higher that’s when I supplement it more.

Conclusion

While this product is probably an overkill for a soccer mom, I think it’s pretty solid for most individuals who are active on an above-average level. It’s easy to take with you, will provide you with everything you need and works out to about a dollar a day. I see no reason why you shouldn’t pick up a tub. I give it a solid 4.5 stars.

Liked The Review? First off, hats off to the marketing team. I’m not really sure why, but the name “one more rep” just sticks. The packaging is also pretty sexy to boot, so when it comes to visual stimulation… this stuff will get you excited in your pants (or panties).

Before going further, let’s hear the official word from the company

Product Details:

There are other so called strong and concentrated pre-workout formulas. They say 1 scoop per serving on the panel yet tell you to take 3 scoops. How is that strong? How is that concentrated?

This is real simple. One scoop of 1.M.R equals one serving. No tricks. One scoop. One insane workout! Now that is what I call EXTRA STRENGTH!

Go ahead make everyone stare. 1.M.R™ is what separates you from everyone else. It’s what helps make your muscles stronger, veins wider, and reps shorter. Boost your energy and maybe, just maybe you have what it takes. This is an energy driven formula.

Hmm, not very explanatory in the sales copy are they? Let’s move on.

First Impressions:

So, we established that the visuals are all great. Let’s get down to the ingredients and see what’s up. First thing you need to know is that the formula used for the tablets is slightly different than the formula used for the powder. The major difference in ingredients being caffeine… while 1 serving of the tablets (4) contains 250mg caffeine, the powder contains a whopping 300mg. The next ingredient is Beta Alanine, which the powder has but the tablets don’t. And after that we have L-Leucine, which the tablets have but the powder doesn’t.

From the looks of it, this thing is shaping up to be a slight mishap. Beta-A is an important ingredient… one which I think every pre-workout formula should have. Not only is its effects noticeable as fuck, but it actually works. So I’m not sure how they expect to provide a similar experience with the tablets, considering it’s marketed under the same name. Then there is L-Leucine, a BCAA that is known to be the one which is primarily responsible for muscle protein synthesis. How can you leave that out of the powder? Absurdity.

What I did like about both versions of this product is how they decided to use creatine monohydrate. We obviously don’t know how much since its a proprietary formula (and my guess is not much) but hell, its better than CEE that’s for damn sure.

Real World Results:

I’ll start off with the tablets, which were pretty big. So if you can’t handle big pills, it’s going to be a bitch to throw down all 4 – don’t say I didn’t warn your ass when you’re choking to death. After taking the four tablets, I waited and waited and after about half an hour, felt a lil something-something. It wasn’t enough to blow me away, but it wasn’t too shabby either. The energy was comparable to a can of Redbull and it got me through my late night workout just fine. But the product provided no extra pumps or any other aspects of insanity that are marketed. Satisfactory at best.

Few days later, I needed a kick in the ass after a long and tiring day, which meant it was the perfect opportunity to test out the powder… and so I did. I didn’t have a chance to try out the Blue Raspberry flavour since all I had was Lemon Lime. Still, in terms of taste it was pretty good for a supplement. The best way to describe it would be a glass of slightly over-sweetened lemon aid. Not bad, not bad at all.

In terms of mix-ability, I was highly surprised. I poured the powder in my shaker cup along with water and ice cubes and the shit just turned into a nice little cocktail. No real clumps or any of that bullshit to report. Two thumbs up so far… but what about the performance?

Well, Russell Peters would call it “Mind blasting”, but I call it “fantabulous”. Truth be told though, were you really that surprised? I mean comon. It’s got 300mg of caffeine coupled with Beta-A, which has known to deliver in the past. So if anyone was expecting anything less than absolute fireworks, they are out of their fucking minds. Either that or their tolerance is at a ridiculous level.

Let me just say that if you’re a beginner, intermediate or even consider yourself slightly advanced, take half a serving 30 mins before a workout and the other half during the workout. Or just take half a serving and be done with it. I took an entire serving at 11pm and didn’t hit the sack till 4:30am, and I’ve been testing supplements for a while so I’m not exactly caffeine sensitive. The effects actually dwindled by about 4am, after which some green tea and 200mg of magnesium helped me doze off. If you take this in the morning… shit will be bonkers.

The workout also went great. I personally felt no real jitters, but I can see a noob taking this and jumping of walls and shit, so assess your tolerance levels. And as for the crash, well yes there is a slight crash. Its not enough to drop you, but you’ll definitely feel the effect dying down.

Conclusion:

So now I’m in a bit of a fucked up situation. We have one product that is splintered off into two different delivery methods. One delivery method works, and the other is nothing special… so what the hell do I rate this? Should I average out the two scores or not. Hmm.

After pondering on this during my morning dump, I realized that I really wouldn’t put my money down for the tablets, so I’ll give them separate ratings. But first, let’s address the cost issue. At $44.99, you get 30 servings with the tablets ($1.50/serving) and 28 servings with the powder ($1.60/serving). So it’s not super expensive, but it’s not that cheap either. However, if you look around you can get the powder for as little as $1.25/serving. Check the link at the end of the review.

So, back to the ratings. I give the tablets 2 out of 5 stars, but the highlight of this review was the powdered format, which gets a solid 3.5/5 stars. Besides the original MuscleSpeed, I think this is the highest rating I’ve given for a pre-workout formula… mainly because it’s crazy. And hey, if you’re not crazy, you can take only half a serving and make the stuff last twice as long. How can you argue with that?

Cheers.

Liked The Detailed Review? Want More? A little pa-zazz to it. Turn this review into a rap song so you can shake your ass to it. So when it came time to review this supplement… I just had to do it.

I know, I know, I could give 50 cent a run for his change but lets get down to business. Kre-Alkalyn is a type of creatine that I’ve been using for a while. Hardcore nerds say that this type of creatine isn’t really backed by real studies and that you should stick to the original stuff – monohydrate. Well do these tools know that Kre-Alkalyn is monohydrate? Just buffered… perhaps with baking soda? Who knows.

Others say that the theory behind Kre-Alkalyn is truly sound. Me personally, I’ve stopped arguing and found a middle ground. (Man, my flow just can’t be stopped today)

Product Name: Kre-Alkalyn EFX Pro
Company: All American EFX
MSRP: $39.99 [CLICK HERE FOR 60% OFF!]
Availability: High (Stores & Most Websites)
Servings: 45 for most people, 90 for noobs.

On with the official description…

Kre-Alkalyn® EFX PRO a very novel concept in creatine supplementation. It supplies your muscles with energy for more intense training while giving you pinpoint focus, alertness and intense drive. It‘s powered by Kre-Alkaloid™, a new “super compound” developed by All American EFX. This unique formula synergistically supercharges your muscle cells while simultaneously activating targeted areas of your brain.

First Impressions:

The bottle and packaging look just like the other products in the Flex Wheeler series. Classy blue colors with elegant packaging design make this one stand out. Looking at the ingredient profile we find that each capsule contains 1275 mg of total goodness. This goodness consists of Kre-Alkalyn and a caffeine compound made from 3 teas (black, green and white).

AAEFX was kind enough to tell me that it contains about 80mg of caffeine so using the power of subtraction, I’m going to take a wild guess and say that you’re getting 1195mg of creatine. Hmm, seems a bit on the low end, as one capsule is the recommended serving but no one is gonna stop you from taking 2 are they? Didn’t think so.

I guess the only drawback I see about this product is the actual capsule size. To cram a reasonable amount of creatine along with caffeine, they had to use a big pill. I believe the size is a “000” … but I could be wrong; it might be a double zero. Still, the fact remains that if you aren’t used to swallowing bigger pills, then this will cause you some problems. Train that gag reflex boy, this shit is the size of a god damn Mattel toy!

Real World Results:

Well, what the hell do you want me to say? It’s Kre-Alkalyn creatine (which I’ve been using for a long time) mixed in with a bit of caffeine, so how do you think it’s gona be? It’s fabulous. But… and it’s a big, well rounded “but”… only if you take 2 capsules. When I was talking with Brian Andrews (President of AAEFX), he assured me that the quality of caffeine used in this product is of extremely high quality and that “less is more”. I have no doubts that the quality is high… he’s a straight forward man and I got every right to believe him.

However, 80mg is 80mg. If you hit the gym hard, then you’re probably used to taking 150mg of caffeine at the minimum… which means with one capsule you won’t feel shit. Or maybe you will? But I sure as hell didn’t. When I took two however, things were glorious, just like a double rainbow. The energy is good, and what’s weird about it is that unlike most caffeine products that either hit hard then carsh hard or hit hard then taper off, this one tapers in and tapers out. You won’t remember when and how you started to feel more alert, you’ll just feel alert. And about an hour and a half later you won’t notice when the caffeine effect went away, you’ll just know that it did.

This pill is like a sneaky little ninja. I’m not sure how I feel about that, personally I LIKE when supplements hit me hard then taper off, it’s just something I’ve gotten used to, but that’s all personal preference. Some of you may really like this smooth energy transition. The fact is that when taken in the right dose, it works.

My workouts were pretty kick ass too. They were nothing over the top, just the same, solid and consistent awesomeness you can expect from Kre-Alkalyn.

Conclusion:

Not much else is left to say, I recommend you pick up a bottle hit the gym and just lift away. The cost per serving isn’t too shabby either since most of you won’t need to take 2 servings ALL the time so realistically, you’ll get about 55 servings out of a bottle. At $39.99 that sets you back at 72cents per serving. And that’s just MSRP, if you know where to look (see link below) then that price will drop to about 45cents per serving. You really can’t ask for much more than that.

I’m giving Kre-Alkalyn EFX a solid 4.2/5 stars… a much better effort then their last product I reviewed.

Liked The Review? There are many instances where you want to be well rounded in a bunch of disciplines. Take MMA for instance, it is a well known fact that some of the top guys in the UFC are extremely well rounded. Take a look at GSP – that mofo has ridiculous wrestling skills but can also deliver vicious high kicks to your pretty face.

Then there’s Fedor, who so many say is the “perfect” fighter. He has not lost once and as far as critics are concerned… has absolutely no holes in his game. He is vicious standing up, on the ground or on his back. He can knock your face off just as easily as he will put you in a choke hold and make you tap like a lil bitch.

So when it comes to supplements, is there any product that can pull off this well-rounded feat? Well a brand new product called Anadraulic State GT form LG Sciences is trying to do just that, and I’ve taken it for a full-out test drive to see if it delivered.

Product Name: Anadraulic State GT
Company: LG Sciences
MSRP: $26.99
Availability: Medium/High (Online & Most Supplement Stores)
Price Per Serving: $0.60

First, let’s hear the official product description from LG Sciences…

Product Description

“Not being in the perfect state prior to working out is a problem that robs most people of muscle. Did you know a large part of muscle growth happens at the gym where you are priming each cell for growth? All of the signaling and plumbing for muscle growth is laid in the gym, which is precisely when you lack nutrients. If you want to really grow, being in the perfect state is critical. Sadly, most people ignore this critical time and waste hard earned effort in the gym because of improper nutrient timing. While you are there, if you are not making the most out of every minute, you are robbing yourself of the most critical time to build muscle and making a HUGE mistake in your training.

To get real muscle growth when you workout, you need to be in the perfect state…the Anadraulic State. The Anadraulic State is unlike anything you have ever experienced, it puts your body in the perfect condition to accomplish unparalleled muscle growth while you train. Nothing like it has ever been seen before and nothing rivals the pure power and intensity of a man in the Anadraulic State. This muscle building pre-workout product is in a league of its own…

Anadraulic State is the first pre-workout product made exclusively to build the key androgenic compounds needed for extreme muscle growth along with the perfect blend of nutrients that will put your muscles in an anabolic state…the Anadraulic State!”

First Impressions

The mini tub is about the size of most other pre-workout products such as BSN’s NO Xplode. It’s blue and on the side its got the oh-so-famous art work which shows off how the product works at a cellular level. You know, shit like colorful blocks and expanded blood vessels. It sure makes me want to try it, so good job on the marketing front.

When you turn it over and take a look at the ingredient section though… its truly shocking stuff. This thing is jam-packed with ingredients. From the looks of it, its a fucking pre workout, intra-workout and post-workout supplement all in one. Take a look below to see what I’m on about.

So let’s jump right into their proprietary mixes and see what we have on our hands. The entire scoop is 16grams and therefore it’s hard to judge how much of each mix we have, but I’ll take my best guess.

Stimulant Complex – Caffeine is something everyone knows about, and this stuff has a decent amount of it in there. The rep confirmed that each serving contains 150mg of it. What the bitter orange is there for, I’m truly not sure. Never seen it in a stimulant mix before.

Adaptogenic Complex – Quercetin is mainly used in energy products since it helps you feel more mentally alert. It’s naturally found in apples. I personally think its awesome, but in small dosages it doesn’t do shit, so lets hope they put an adequate amount in here. Schizandra berry has numerous uses but I’m guessing in here because its shown to improve reflexes, stimulate the nervous system and help with digestion. Wolfberry (or Gojiberry) is high in Vitamin C and provides immune support. Cinnamon has too many benefits to list and Mulberry is used to suppress high blood sugar levels – so its in here for something to do with insulin. But then they have an insulin spiking matrix so I’m not sure why they threw this shit in here. Let’s move on.

Amino Acid Complex – Basically a complex with different types of proteins. There is nothing wrong with protein but in a 16 gram scoop where you have so many other ingredients, I don’t see the point of having protein. If the protein content is 10g, then 6g needs to be divided amongst the other complexes which makes no sense. If its 5g, then its basically insignificant… so in my opinion its a waste of space. It’s well known that taking protein pre-workout will help spare muscle tissue but you’re better off having a turkey sandwich to be honest.

Estrogen Control Complex – Whether this mix works or not is too hard to tell, but controlling estrogen is never a bad thing so why the fuck not, right? Reserveratrol has been popping up in too many places with too many claims and not enough evidence to back it up, so be aware of that.

Creatine Complex – Basically a bunch of creatine types (YAY for using mostly monohydrate) mixed in with some Beta-Alanine, which i believe is the shit. I love it. From my guess, anything less than 5g of creatine would be lame, so lets assume that, and anything less than 5g of Beta-Alanine isn’t possible because of the tingle this will give you (more on that later). So that’s roughly 10g of the 16g scoop right there… as far as my best guesstimate goes. I could be completely wrong. And if i am, bite me.

pSARM Complex – There has been quite a lot of buzz about SARMS lately, and here are a few quotes I pulled from LG Sciences:

“SARMS have been in the news recently as a way to give men and women the benefits of using illegal anabolics without the risks to health and safety. SARM technology uses new compounds that are only anabolic in specific tissues, meaning they have all the muscle building benefits of testosterone without the negative side effects of illegal prohormones and anabolics.

pSARMs may act like testosterone in specific tissues like muscle. This gives us the unique benefit of being anabolic without the negative side effects found with illegal anabolics. The key to the pSARM is in the shape of the molecule which is similar to testosterone and acts like it in specific muscle tissues, giving the bodybuilder a very potent anabolic agent without the negative side effects”

So it’s basically a molecule that is very similar to testosterone, which in theory should provide similar benefits (gain muscle while burning fat). This has been tested in rats who saw gains anywhere from 8-20% but to be honest, I think it needs to be further researched. Also, the dosages used and/or are needed is completely fucking unknown. All the touted benefits also are worded with a lot of “mays” – as in it may help with this or it may help with that. Who in their right mind is paying for “may deliver results”?! I only wanan pay for concrete shit, thank you very much.

To sum it up then, this complex smells a little fishy to me so I wouldn’t get too excited over it. LG Sciences sells pSARM as a standalone product in capsule format and while some have loved it, there have also been others who claimed that it made them nauseated and pukey. Hmm…

Carbohydrate Complex – No doubt its meant to cause an insulin spike, but here is something hilarious – Waxy Maize is actually jack SHIT at causing an insulin spike. In fact, studies have proven that a slice of white bread causes a greater insulin response than waxy maize so I’m not sure why it’s being used here. My guess is that because so many other supplement companies have used it, we have a “monkey see, monkey do” effect going on. LG Sciences… you guys need to do your damn homework.

On paper then, this entire product seems relatively promising when you look at the boat load of proven and mysterious ingredients. Let’s see how it performs in the real world.

Real World Results

Upon openage of the tub (yes “openage” is now a word), you are introduced to the smell. In my opinion it seems like a bakery product… something with maybe a bit of cinnamon? It’s a bit odd, but not bad. When I threw a scoop into my Blenderbottle, I was surprised to see that it doesn’t tell you how much water you need to use. So I guessed.

I soon realized that if you use too little water and make a concentrated mixture it has a pukey smell to it and the taste is oddly strong. So throw in lots of water, 10-16oz at least and you’ll have a nice, lemony flavored mixture. It’s sweet at first but has a bitter after taste. The oddest part about it however, is how it tingles the mouth (no doubt its due to beta-alanine but previous beta-a products haven’t done this to me). If you have open cuts on you lip… good fucking luck. This tingle also stays for a good 15 minutes so expect your taste buds to go slightly numb.

Overall Drinkability – 2/5

After gulping it down, I felt pretty damn alert after 20 minutes. Visually, the color contrast was heightened and any feeling of tiredness vanished. So far, so good. An hour after ingestion I hit up the gym for my workout to see what’s what. I lifted heavy, was focused and actually felt an odd bit “pumpier”. Workout went well for 20 minutes after which hell broke loose.

Half way through a pullup session I felt queasy and light headed. A few minutes after this I was pukey, as if I’ve just taken that stupid ass tea cup ride at the carnival. You know the one that just goes round and round, faster and faster till you feel like projectile vomiting on the person who persuaded you to ride it. And the crazy part is that I usually have a strong stomach. I’ve eaten full meals and then done trampoline shows where you are flipping and twisting around in a 20 minute routine, so its no easy task to make me lose my shit.

What can I say though… I had to leave. Lame.

Conclusion

This thing is in a mixed boat. I have no doubts that their pSARM was the root cause of the pukey feeling. A 5 minute research session on Google will reveal that to you. So what to do? Well at $0.6 per serving, its awesome… as long as your body doesn’t reject it. The problem is that you can’t know how you’ll respond to it without trying it. It does give great energy and I’m sure I woulda destroyed my workout if the initial energy boost had tapered off nicely instead of resembling a raging bitch on PMS, and you just cannot ignore this fact.

This supplement can be a complete waste of cash and will actually hinder your workout if you happen to suffer like I did. Also, the taste isn’t the greatest so that’s another factor you need to be aware of. In the end, I’m going to give Andraulic State GT a 2/5 stars. As it stands, being the jack of all trades doesn’t fare well in the supplement industry.

- FitJerk

Originally Written By FitJerk for www.fitjerk.com – © 2010 All Rights Reserved – Content not to be republished without author consent.

———–
© 2010, By FitJerk. FitJerk.com is a division of Flawless Fitness Media – All Rights Reserved – No part of this post is to be republished without author consent under any forms of media (including print, internet, video or audio transcription). Just recently I got my hands on two new products I’ll be reviewing soon, and while looking at the ingredient profile… I think it’s the first time I’ve been a little weary. Here’s the thing with pre-workout “pump” products – some say it helps, some say it doesn’t help. Research shows that pump-wise, they don’t do jack shit but I’ve known a few that have delivered a bit of a surprise. The 2 key ingredients are L-Arginine and caffeine. My theory is that most of the time its the caffeine rush that makes people feel like “ooh its working, I’m gona get RIPPED YO!”.

So I figured it was time to get to the basics. A supplement without any bullshit which is made up of a simple formula to see if L-Arginine can actually provide the pumps during a workout. The product were looking at today is NYTRIC EFX PRO from AAEFX. The fine folks that brought us Cell Rush, LBA Pro Aminos and LG5 PRO. So far it’s been aces for All American EFX, let’s see if NYTRIC holds up.

Product Name: NYTRIC EFX PRO
Company: All American EFX
MSRP: $25.99 >> CLICK FOR LOWEST PRICES <<
Availability: Medium/High (Online & Most Supplement Stores)
Price Per Serving: $0.22

Product Claims:

In case you didn’t already know, once Nitric Oxide (NO) is stimulated, it’s only available for about 5-10 seconds. Therefore, the last thing you want to do is slam AKG into your system where it’ll get burned up before it can do its job. The key is to make sure the AKG releases slowly into the bloodstream over time for sustained NO stimulation. That’s how you get BIG results from this awesome compound.

So how do you know which products are sustained released and which ones aren’t? It’s actually quite simple… it MUST be in tablet form. Unfortunately, most NO products are in a powdered form as part of a larger formula. Bottom-line: those are NOT time-released!

So, look for a pure AKG product in tablet form if you truly want your muscles to receive a surge of nutrients and oxygen that’ll put you in the fast lane for growth.

Other NO formulas require you to take 6-9 tablets per day. But thanks to our Dextro-Cyclodized™ AKG™, plus its advanced Amplifying Matrix, you only need 3 tablets per day of Nytric EFX PRO™. Yes, it really is that strong!

You’ll love the intense feeling of nutrient-rich, muscle-building blood stretching your veins and capillaries to their absolute limits!

First Impressions:

This product is part of the Flex Wheeler Signature line so you get the same blue-themed packaging and a bottle that is made of dark blue plastic like the other products I’ve reviewed. It’s a clean and classy look… awesome.

Here’s the ingredient profile:

As you can see, nothing crazy… just the basics. We get a modified version of Arginine with an “Amplifying Matrix”. It’s interesting to note that L-Citrulline is been on a rise as far as supplements go (specially in pump products) but there haven’t been any good solid studies done on it. For those that read my shit, you know that the only one that’s known is the one that deals with finger flexion. Apparently it helps, so it might come in handy if you play lots of Bejeweled. As far as its effectiveness during intense physical activity… it’s all up in the air. Even still, 2mg ain’t squat.

Since this is in tablet form, I figured I’d use relativity to show you the huge size of the pillz you’d be taking. I put a shiny nickel beside it so you’d get an idea. For 90% of the population, this really isn’t an easy thing to swallow. If you’re not careful, you’re gona choke to death. Maybe. Hopefully.

Now, the main reason I had some hopes for this product (even though it only has 1g of Arginine instead of 5-10g most companies use) is that AAEFX uses a proprietary technology that pH balances all of its supplements for maximum uptake. If you ingest 5g and piss out 4.5g… then its all a fucking waste isn’t it?

Real World Results:

The directions say that you should take 3 tablets a day (morning, evening and afternoon) and/or one tablet 45 mins prior to your workout. Well for the first 2 weeks, I followed the directions exactly. I figured I shouldn’t really “judge” until those 2 weeks were up, in case this stuff had to be loaded. Well two weeks in and 7 workouts later I have to say… I didn’t see or feel any difference what-so-ever.

Now prior to those two weeks, I had taken about 3 weeks off from all supplements with the exception of protein (hence why I haven’t put up any reviews lately). I figured Id’ give this a fair chance since some people have emailed me saying “this supplement you reviewed actually works… it’s just that you take so many your body is used to it dude!”

Well, I sure raped that theory up the behind. Three weeks off is enough time. Still, I was like “I have a lot of the bottle left” so I upped my shit to 4tablets/day till it all ran out. And still, nothing to report. There were some hot ass days where my pumps in the gym would be significantly higher but I’ve noticed this phenomenon since I was a chump in high school. Heat expands, cold contracts… duh.

Conclusion:

I tried everything, but the only benefit I think you can see from this is the fact that L-Arginine helps with creatine synthesis, immune function and aids in faster healing of wounds. But for $25 bucks a bottle, I can’t recommend this supplement. Specially not for what it’s claimed to help you with. It’s a bit of a shame because AAEFX actually has other kick ass products. I keep telling people that you cannot go wrong with Cell Rush stacked with caffeine (or a serving of MuscleSpeed). But as far as Nytric, it’s a no-go, yo!

Is it the amount of heavy shit you lift? Is it the exercises? How about the speed or duration? The answer is none of those things. Its RECOVERY!

That’s the whole point of training and trashing your body into an oblivion. It’s so you can reap the rewards after recovery… yet so many jackasses are forgetting this concept so they go on training like 6 days a week, leaving absolutely no time for their CNS and their muscles to recover, grow and adapt. Retarded.

But today I happen to have a supplement that will aid you in your recovery ventures. It should be common sense that if your recovery times could be reduced, then you’ll be able to hit up the gym more frequently, resulting in better gains. It’s called LG5 PRO.

Product Name: LG5 Pro
Company: All American EFX
MSRP: $33.99 $19.97 >>Click To Check Out Lowest Prices<<
Availability: High (online and retail stores)

First Impressions:

Like the previous Flex Wheeler line of supplements I reviewed earlier, this one comes in an attractive blue packaging. I just wanan pick it up and hold it. Maybe lick it. Maybe not.

So you pay 20 bucks for 31 servings… which works out to $0.64 per serving. That’s spec-fucking-tacular if you ask me. Do note that L-Glutamine powder is a relatively affordable supplement in its own right, but this is just great.

So what do you get inside? Well its got about 3 grams of AAEFX’s dextro-cyclodized Glutamine and another gram of a special mix comprised of Taurine, Glutamine-hydrochloride, Aspartic acid (non-essential amino acid used orally to increase absorption of mineral supplements, to reduce fatigue, and to enhance athletic performance) and Ribonucleic acid (naturally occuring sugar thought to re-elevate ATP levels quickly… studies are so-so on this but used with L-Glutamine I’ve found that it’s not too bad. The powder is pricey by itself though). In the overall scheme of things you are getting about 4g worth of recovery agents.

Now this is a bit on the low end since when I take L-Glutamine powder by itself, I tend to take about 6-7g/day. But LG5 has a better delivery system which proved itself quite well when I reviewed Cell Rush a few weeks back… so I was interested to see how it would perform.

Like all of their supplements, the LG5 Pro came with a full purity certification document to let me know that nothing but the ingredients that are on the label are in the bottle itself. This is good to see since some companies throw together a bunch of cheap supplements from China and slight cross-contamination goes ignored. I would pay extra for extra piece of mind… I don’t want salmonella in my supplements. Pfft.

Real World Results:

When you first pour this stuff into a spoon, it looks like melted pink candy. The texture has something “shiny” about it… I can’t put my finger on it, but see for yourself. It also smells like a low-down version of cotton candy. Or maybe bubble gum, again can’t put my finger on it but its not bad. Not bad at all…

Then there’s the taste. On the tongue it’s all slimey and gooey and it tastes like a tangier yet weirder version of Pepto. But that’s not the worst bit, the worst bit is the distinctive L-Glutamine sour-yet-salty after taste. A bit like drinking from the ocean.

Yeah, so on a scale of 1 to terrible, the taste in my opinion is kinda shitty.

BUT…

You really can’t blame AAEFX, because it’s not their fault. Why? Because Glutamine by itself is a horrid tasting supplement and what they’ve done is take something that is un-bareable by itself and made it bearable. So stop being a momma’s boy and deal with it. Another thing that’s great about this supplement is that since it’s in liquid form, you can throw some cranberry juice in your shaker cup along with your LG5 Pro and you’re good to go. A few shakes and it mixes almost instantly!

I duno why AAEFX doesn’t brag about this little feature but they really fucking should. It’s amazing, you can hardly taste it. Mmm cranberry juice. Just make sure you aren’t mixing together a cranberry DRINK… this ain’t happy hour!

So what about the effectiveness? Well from my testing, it works just as good as L-Glutamine powder. For some it might work better but it would be really hard to tell the difference… maybe if you took 2-3 servings a day? So basically you could get the powder itself or this… but let me tell you that the convenience of the bottle and flavored liquid format is legit. I also won’t have to throw in L-Glutamine powder into my protein shake anymore. The thing would become slightly salty tasting, but all that’s history.

Conclusion:

I tried to find faults with this product, I really did but I couldn’t. So there will be no hoop-la in my conclusive statement today… because for $0.64 a serving, there is no reason why anyone who does any form of resistance training shouldn’t be taking 1tbsp a day. Unless you LIKE feeling sore for days and days, LG5 Pro comes highly recommended. Yes I know the taste isn’t the greatest, but you’d be hard-pressed to find a better Glutamine product that beats this thing’s convenience and price.

I give it a 4.8/5 stars and it also gets my…

To support the site and to get your very own bottle of LG5 Pro For 40%OFF > CLICK HERE! <
