So here is volume two of my verbal ramblings for your hearing pleasure. After getting my feet wet with the first one and getting some solid feedback I decided it was time to apply the lessons learnt and bang out another one (give it a minute to load).

I’ll try and make podcasting a more frequent occurrence so you can get more content and I can get more practice in front of the mic. If you have fitness questions that you want answered then hit up the contact page up top and lay it on me. Don’t hold back now. Download the mp3 below.

Good podcast… although it cuts out short for me. As soon as you start on the question about the ab-exercises, the entire thing just stops playing.

As far as egg-whites go… I’d imagine most people consume the whites versus the entire egg is to avoid excess cholesterol. While it’s not something I personally do, I can imagine that eating 2-3 eggs every morning for breakfast could load up quite a bit of unwanted cholesterol.

Props for letting me know bro, It’s been fixed. For some reason… during the audio compression the stupid software cut down the time to 8 mins.

As for cholesterol… oh comon now, that shit is a major myth. It was proven in the 50′s that the amount of cholesterol in food generally has a small impact on cholesterol in the blood. In fact, you should worry more about saturated fat (which has a bigger impact on your cholesterol than a fucking egg). 2-3 eggs/day is nothing to get worried about.

Bottom line, eggs are kick ass… eat them with awesome sauce and you’ll do just fine. The only time I’d worry is if you have cholesterolemia… in which case you should be under the Doc’s care anyways.

Thanks for the word on eggs. I always thought that was such a freakin’ waste to eat JUST the white in the egg. I’d rather not eat eggs at all in that case.

…Or you could just eat in moderation and enjoy the benefits of eggs, one particualr one that comes to mind is that they’re yummy as fuck :)

Egg yolks are indeed full of cholesterol. Like most cholesterol-rich foods, they are jam-packed full of important nutrients, especially the fat-soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids.

In fact, the slew of nutrients in an egg yolk is so comprehensive that a few a day would offer better insurance than a multi-vitamin. Most importantly, the yolk contains most of the nutrients in an egg.

Egg whites, on the other hand, contain far fewer nutrients. The only thing that could justify their consumption is their attachment to their companion yolk.

btw, speaking across a microphone instead of into it will get rid of the wind sound when you say letters like ‘p’.
